Be it the historic sites, legends, archaeology or spectacular wildlife and habitat of the Preseli’s on these short walks you’ll experience the best this magnificent landscape has to offer. On this 4-mile circular walk you will explore the magical landscape of Carningli dotted about with the remains of hut circles from forgotten civilisations that once settled here. One of the most striking hills in the Preseli’s, on a clear day the rocky hilltop of Carningli offers magnificent views across this ancient and rugged landscape. Join the local Ranger for a short walk to explore the captivating and dramatic landscape of the Preseli Hills. Visit some of the historic sites and hear about the legends associated with these monuments and people who lived there. You will also learn about the spectacular wildlife and habitat of the Preseli’s whilst enjoying the stunning views of this magical landscape.
On this walk you will be taken to the heart of the Preseli Hills, starting with a gradual climb around the flank of Craig Talfynydd to Bedd Arthur, with its wonderful views towards Carn Meini. This walk leads to one of the best archaeological sites in the Park. Foel Drygarn contains both Bronze Age burial cairns and the remains of an Iron Age fort. Combine this with fantastic views and this truly is one of the best short walks in the north. Tickets non-refundable.
