SOLD OUT! Ancient Textiles Workshop
Saturday 9 September and Sunday 15 October
11am-4pm. BOOKING ESSENTIAL
Learn the textile techniques of our ancestors to create your own piece of prehistoric textile. During this workshop you will be introduced to the basics of spinning, weaving and dyeing.
Ticket includes admission to the Iron Age Village and all materials. Suitable for ages 12+. Children aged 16 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult. Tickets non-refundable.

Wild Food and Medicine Walk
Saturday 23 September 11am-1pm. BOOKING ESSENTIAL
A wild food and medicine walk with professional forager Jade Mellor, where you’ll identify and gather a selection of seasonal leaves, herbs and blossoms, learn about their uses (culinary and medicinal) and how to prepare them, and make a wild condiment to take home. Ticket includes admission to the Iron Age Village. Ages 12+.

A ghostly tour through our dark woods around the Village, which will introduce you to the strange and spine-chilling stories of creatures and characters of Welsh folklore. Tickets non-refundable.

Winter Solstice at Castell Henllys
Thursday 21 December 11am-4.30pm. BOOKING ESSENTIAL
The longest night is here, so why not celebrate by taking yourself on a winter walk through our woods, or by having a go at prehistoric crafts, or listening to ancient tales and songs next to the crackling yule fire? At the setting of the sun (weather permitting), we shall have a small bonfire in the Village with a chance for you to meet the Mari Lwyd! Tickets non-refundable.
