Courage and Community – RNLI 200 Cymru

29 June 2024 – 1 June 2025

There are six lifeboat stations and 13 RNLI lifeguarded beaches along Pembrokeshire’s beautiful but hazardous coastline. Be inspired by the stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things, with games and activities for the whole family. One of two exhibitions in Wales to celebrate this special year, the collaboration between Amgueddfa Cymru, the RNLI and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority also sees displays at the National Waterfront Museum, Swansea.

St Davids Room - Solace Coastal Journeys by Chris Prosser

Wednesday 8 January – Sunday 9 March
This exhibition showcases seascape works inspired by the dramatic and evocative Pembrokeshire coastline. The artist's semi-impressionistic style captures the beauty of stormy skies, lit horizons, and the ever-changing tide. Chris uses diluted acrylics, and transparent layers are formed on the canvas. The artist builds and removes paint to create depth and light, allowing the seascapes to emerge from both imagination and a deep emotional connection to the landscape. Each piece reflects the artist’s passion for the natural rhythm and power of the coast.
